About West Coast Conference

West Coast Pop Warner Football Conference, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer. Founded in 1970, with 6 member associations, Super merger, Palomar and San Diego Pop Warner become one conference. Severing all of San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County areas with 22 associations. Where boys and girls ages 5 to 17 years old can participate in the sport of football, dance and cheerleading. West Coast Conference Pop Warner (WCCPW) requires all participants maintain academic standards according to National Pop Warner scholastic eligibility.

Associations include: Carlsbad, Coronado, Escondido, Fallbrook, La Costa Canyon, Lakeside, Murrieta Valley, Oceanside, Point Loma, Poway, Ramona, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Hills, San Carlos, San Marcos, Santee, Scripps Ranch, Temecula Valley, Torrey Pines, Valley Center, Vista and West Valley.

Palomar Pop Warner participants are required to maintain academic standards in order to participate. Pop Warner's commitment to academics is what separates the program from other youth sports around the world.

Since 1929, the Pop Warner Programs Philosophy has been that athletics and scholastics go hand in hand. At every level, Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character while having a good time. Palomar Pop Warner is proud to be a charter member of Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. and joins in this philosophy.

Mission Statement

Palomar Conference is committed to provide each athlete, both football & cheer, with an enjoyable learning experience. We are dedicated to improve the skills of each participant through good coaching, practice and competition. We understand that the primary reason young athletes participate in sports is to have fun while competing with each other. We believe every athlete matters and our mission is to provide the opportunities and training necessary for all to learn and compete at his or her greatest ability. We also will strive for academic achievement for every participant, believing that academics and sports go hand-in-hand in shaping our young athletes. Finally we believe that while competing to win is important, the greater value lies in competing with honor, practicing good sportsmanship and being gracious in victory and defeat.

Goals & Philosophy

The general objectives of Pop Warner are to inspire youth regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin, to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness. Pop Warner strives to make the game fun for all boys and girls. The program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the playing or spirit days of the boys and girls involved, such as: self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship. With such goals in mind, and providing an opportunity to participate in an organized, supervised environment with emphasis on maximum safety and participation, Pop Warner offers young men and women a unique memorable experience.
